Cincinnati Paddling Seminar at the Benchmark Where do you find information on access points? What’s a good packing list for multiple day trips? How do you obtain “local knowledge” for waters you’ve never paddled? When does it make sense to use outfitter services instead of doing it all yourself? What safety precautions should you have in place? The answers to these questions and many more will be covered in this free seminar. Whether it’s a local day trip or a multiple-day expedition, you’ll be walked through it all, from conception to planning to execution. You will also receive useful reference material to take with you. The seminar leader: Henry Dorfman has been leading paddling trips for over 25 years and heads up Cincypaddlers.org, the largest local paddling group in the nation with over 1,500 members and 125 paddling events a year. He is a founding member of the Paddlefest Cincinnati steering committee and last year was inducted into the Cincinnati Paddlers Hall of Fame. To sign up, email Captainhank@cincypaddlers.org by March 12th, 2010.
