Insulated and reinforced with waterproof panels where you need them, the Rubicon Rider Jacket provides breathability and protection from wet snow throughout the season.

When snow squeaks, you know it's cold out. This insulated coat combines the warmth for a good thaw with a highly breathable soft-shell fabric and durable, waterproof panels. Made from supple, 50-denier 100% polyester ripstop for decidedly breathable performance during high-output endeavors; a Deluge® DWR (durable water repellent) finish blocks out wind and determined snow squalls. Tough 2-layer panels, made from 150-denier polyester (50% recycled) with a H2No® waterproof/breathable barrier, beef up the shoulders, elbows and bottom hem to increase abrasion-resistance. A lightweight layer of compressible 150-g Thermogreen™ polyester (90% recycled) insulation warms up predawn starts. Finer points include underarm venting, an easy-gliding liner (100% all-recycled polyester taffeta), a zip-off powder skirt with webbing loops that attach to any Patagonia® Ski/Snowboard pants, removable hood with a single-hand adjustment, handwarmer pockets, a zippered chest pocket (holds an audio device) and two inside pockets.

H2No^® is Patagonia's standard for 100% waterproof and breathable protection in our shell garments. H2No is created by adding a waterproof and breathable laminate or coating to a high performance protective fabric. This fabric package blocks wind and water on the outside while allowing water vapor generated by your body to escape – keeping you warm, dry and comfortable.
